Feature Story on Love The Hate and Single Review of "If I Would Go" By Annie Schlottman April 13, 2022 Love The Hate, a hard rock band based in Mobile, Alabama, recently released a moving tribute to one of the band's founding members and former lead singer, Butch Howell, with a lovely acoustic version of "If I Would Go". Current band members JRod Mclain (vocals), Frank Killian (guitar), Marshall Mears (guitar), Leon Craft (bass), and John Gavin (drums) have every reason to be proud of this project, as it definitely does justice to this great song originally written by Howell and Killian and released on the 2019 album Burn . Ryan Keith Howell, a.k.a. "Butch", passed away at the age of 44 April 1st, 2019, but not before leaving a lasting imprint on the Mobile rock scene. Because of Howell's hard work, dedication, and desire to make great music, other singers, musicians, and bands are determined to keep going so his legacy will continue to live on.

Rise The Phoenix Soars With Songs That Inspire Strength And Courage

A Feature Story on Rise The Phoenix  Written by Annie Schlottman April 11, 2022 I was fortunate recently to have a great conversation with Rise The Phoenix lead singer and co-founding member Jessee Sawyer and drummer Trebor Genry. It was a very enjoyable experience and I was honored to be able to speak with them about the Mobile, Alabama-based band, the music, and life in general. Two things really stood out after our conversation: the recurring theme of family and the concept of making music that any listener can relate to.     In addition to Sawyer, the other original Rise The Phoenix member is guitarist Brandon Rodgers. Along the way, bassist Joseph (Tertle) Carter and Genry joined the band, and finally, this past December prior to the show with Sevendust, guitarist Kevin Joslin was added. According to Sawyer, after at least three full lineup changes, he feels like the band is a real family now, and ready to make music that will help them realize their dreams of making a career out

"Don't Care What's Wrong Or Right"  All Depraved Review by Annie Schlottman April 11, 2022 The Austrian metalcore band All Depraved has a message to share about anti-bullying in its latest release, the heavy-hitting anthem "Don't Care What's Wrong Or Right" . This song, while rocking the listener to the core, is also thought-provoking and important in this day and age. All Depraved was originally formed by Thomas Egger (vocals, guitar), and later he was joined by his brother, Christian Egger (backing vocals, guitar). Rounding out the band lineup are Kevin Neuwirth (bass) and Johannes Lerchbaumer (drums). According to the band's bio, the Egger brothers are both "metalheads, living on a farm in the Austrian Alps, bashin' their guitars and vocal cords from dusk until dawn. Their music -- loaded with killer riffs, thundering drums, and lyrics from the abyss of their souls."  "Don't Care What's Wrong Or Right" was writ

The brilliant and meaningful song-writing mind of Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo is once again highlighted in two bonus tracks featured on the Below (Deluxe) album released March 18th, 2022 by the Ohio metalcore band. "Fighting Back" and "Permanently Sealed" both have unique twists, but definitely fit right in with the hardcore style that Beartooth fans love. In addition to the bonus tracks, Below (Deluxe) includes all 12 songs off the original album, the reimagined "Skin-Alternate Universe Version", and 17 performances from the Live From The Journey Below livestream. In addition to Shomo, Beartooth also includes Oshie Bichar (bass, backing vocals), Connor Denis (drums, backing vocals), Zach Huston (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Will Deely (rhythm guitar, backing vocals). " 'Fighting Back' and 'Permanently Sealed' are undoubtedly experimental songs for Beartooth," Shomo said. "I really tried to push the boundaries
